CAN WE LEARN FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT?

It was a busy, hectic and stressful day. I was returning back home from school with a pale face.
As I moved away from the school and emerged myself in the city, in the streets, and with the crowd, within an instant I started feeling good and lively once again.
And there comes a zebra crossing, waiting with a somewhat lively face for the green light.
My day was off, I had done my best, so no rushes, no worries. But, some people still seemed to be rushing on their work.
The traffic light was still “Don’t Walk”, too dangerous to cross the road.
And there comes a guy, who seemed to be rushing for his work that he put his life in danger and started crossing the busy road. Sad to say, he was almost hit twice.
All these activities were happening right in front of my eyes, within a minute of my waiting for a green light.
But a good thing was that he was still alive and managed to be on the other side of the road.
I could have literally started to judge that incident or be fearful or start thinking negative.
But, I decided to do something else.
All these incidents were happening right before me, so I had this inner voice talking “I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS.”
At that moment, when I accepted the fact that I was responsible, I backed it up with another powerful curious question,
”What can I learn from this?”

And the inner wisdom seemed to be flowing out of blues:

In life we want so many things in so less time, we seemed to be rushing all the time, like the guy who was rushing, putting his life in danger.
But let us be patient, may we be willing to wait a little bit and I believe the green light will be on soon.
And when the green light turns on and it’s time to cross the road, nothing will ever interfere with us.
The green light we are waiting for could be our next promotion or a new relationship or a vacation or a new degree or a new home or a new motorbike………
Whatever it is, I believe the green light will be on soon and all we need to do is accept it and go for it.
